Jewish People's Assembly West

POSTPONED

Let's gather our visions.

On Sunday, November 8 2015 (POSTPONED), Jewish students, educators, spiritual & lay leaders, and community members will gather in the East Bay to celebrate the full plurality at the edges of Jewish community. We are bound together by our ethical commitment to a Judaism that seeks to include rather than marginalize, to inhabit the world with others rather than draw red lines. We affirm that Jewish life includes queer life, Black life, disabled life, trans life, earth-based life and countless other forms of life that reflect diverse Jewish experiences and embodiments. We mean to value and support the lives, dignity and struggles of those both within and without our communities: Palestinians, migrants, indigenous peoples and all those who have suffered under the yoke of oppression. We will honor the vitality of our diverse experiences of Judaism, share our unique gifts, support each other as we walk along our own edges, and co-create the future of Jewish life.
